Cafe Atlas is a small cafe located within the Bosch Kitchen Center on Bluff Street, near Ace Hardware. When my co-workers told me of their great food, I was a little skeptical, until today.

The cafe is quiet, the food is absolutely incredible and even with being inside of another store, it doesn't feel that way. It's cozy feeling. Any question you may have about their location is made up for with their fabulous sandwiches and soups.

My husband & I both ordered the El Diablo Panini, that comes with a side of Roasted Tomato Soup. My husband ordered a side of their Soup of the Day, which was Elk Soup. Also, we split one of their home made pickles.

The soup and sandwich were delicious, it was a perfect combination of spice and warmth and to pair those together was just fabulous. The Elk soup was hearty and rich. The pickle was delicious, it wasn't the standard pickle you get in a jar, it tasted as though it were pickled with red wine vinegar, to give it a nice flavor.

I was totally surprised by the quality of food served there and this will probably be one of my top recommends for lunches to anyone that asks! The staff is friendly and personable and after you're done eating you can look around the Bosch Kitchen Store and buy some great organic chocolates or teas!

Total win in my book!

Cafe Atlas is no ordinary sandwich shop but a delicious, gourmet hidden gem in southern Utah.

There are many sandwich shops and delis that offer good sandwiches in town but none like Cafe Atlas on 188 N Bluff Street.  The small café has an unconventional location, inside the Bosch Kitchen Store, 188 N. Bluff St., on the left corner past the register.  All the kitchen equipment could be distracting, but once you get your meal, Chef Justin "Puck" Lewis' food takes center stage.

The café offers paninis such as the Monte Cristo, Buffalo Chicken and El Diablo.  The salads include grilled romaine heart, and they offer a soup of the day. They also have some sides to pick from, like German potato salad and Caponata.

The cashier at the café was especially nice, and she gave us time to stare at the incredibly simple menu.  After we ordered we waited for our food, and we could see the chef prepare it in the open kitchen. It took a little long to get our food, but it was well worth it.

Now the Monte Cristo was something special. It's a hot panini on Challah bread, and it melts in your mouth. The warm turkey and melted swiss cheese are pure genius, and the raspberry preserves sent it over the top. I was hesitant about using the side of preserves; to be honest I didn't know how they fit in. Once I tried one bite dipped in the preserves I couldn't eat the rest of the sandwich without it.

The Caponata was amazing. The side was only a couple of spoons but it had big flavors.  It was packed with dried fruit, olives and a crunchy, nutty taste. I tasted a yummy vinaigrette in it as well. I could order just a bowl of this stuff; it was that good.

Its a great place for a light lunch, and the food is definitely worth the price. This place is so good; I'm already planning my next lunch there.
